Video: Center for the Visual Arts Opens with Grand Celebration

The School of Art's newly completed Center for the Visual Arts celebrated its grand opening on May 6. A large crowd filled the building lobby for the opening ceremony, which was followed by tours, live music, student exhibitions and a keynote lecture by visiting artist Mel Chin. This fall, Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University's School of Art held a juried art exhibition; Aggregate III: Avalanche of Talent. This juried exhibition was open to artists living in the United States and working in any medium, aiming to showcase the breadth and diversity of creative talent nationwide. 

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University’s School of Art is proudly represented in the 4th Cayman Islands Biennial, "Archipelago," through the significant curatorial roles of its faculty. Associate Professor of Glass Davin Ebanks and Associate Professor of Art History Joseph L. Underwood were invited by the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands to co-curate the exhibition.
