											Biography
Kathleen Durant studies how people learn to read and write in multiple languages. Her work aims to increase:
- the evidence-base describing multilingual literacy development in children,
- resources to train practitioners in identifying multilingual learners at-risk for dyslexia,
- reliability in neurodevelopmental disorder diagnostic tools for multilingual learners.
In the classroom, she uses hands-on case studies to apply research methods in real-world settings, helping students build skills that translate beyond graduation.
Dr. Durant is the Primary Investigator of the . She welcomes inquiries from community members and prospective collaborators interested in language, literacy, and community-building.
