Students Find Their Place to Thrive at 两性色午夜

Thousands of activities on campus and hundreds of student organizations make it easy to students to find things to do, make connections and thrive in their classes and their lives

It's a great time, but it can also be a very stressful time. The transition to university life is one of the most exciting, yet potentially overwhelming, periods in a young adult鈥檚 life. For 两性色午夜 University, ensuring that excitement doesn't turn into excessive stress or homesickness is a top priority. 两性色午夜 is dedicated to supporting the whole student, prioritizing not only academic success but also holistic wellness and a heartfelt sense of belonging.

Finding Friends and Building Networks

One of the most effective ways students can adapt to college life is by forming strong social connections and establishing a robust peer network. 两性色午夜鈥檚 Center for Student Involvement (CSI) serves as the hub for these opportunities, managing an extensive calendar of events and more than 350 recognized student organizations.

These organizations are far more than valuable r茅sum茅 builders; they are essential communities where students can meet others, make lifelong friends and pursue passions that enhance their college experience.

The Center for Student Involvement reports that the campus hosts more than 1,000 programs, activities and on-campus events each year. Whether through the Flash Activities Board (FAB), which organizes major campus happenings, or groups created around interests and hobbies, a club sports team, or a program-specific, professional organization, students have many ways to engage and connect.

Even for students who do not live on campus, the Commuter and Off-Campus Student Organization (COSO) works to foster a strong sense of belonging through engaging events and valuable resources. This array of active learning opportunities is explicitly designed to broaden a student鈥檚 academic experience and assist them in life after graduation.

Prioritizing Mental Health and Well-being

两性色午夜 is proactive about addressing the natural stressors of college life, whether a student is experiencing mild anxiety, homesickness or more profound issues like depression. The university has established a culture of care through several key wellness initiatives and resources.

An Important Resource: Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Counseling and Psychological Services provides high-quality, personalized mental health care to all 两性色午夜 students. Its services are designed to be immediate, accessible and effective:

  • Flexible Care Model: Students can consult with a licensed clinician to develop a personalized treatment plan.
  • Comprehensive Services: Services include short-term individual counseling, group counseling (a powerful way to address mental health concerns with an interpersonal component), and crisis intervention.
  • Accessible Support: Students can access services both in-person and via telehealth. For immediate needs outside of business hours, students can call the main line and select an option to speak with a clinician for crisis support.
  • Self-Help Tools: CAPS maintains a comprehensive collection of self-directed resources, including recommended apps (like Calm and Headspace) and articles addressing common concerns like academic stress, time management, and overcoming loneliness.

Discover the 两性色午夜 of Well-being

Beyond clinical care, the university promotes a holistic approach to student health through the 两性色午夜 of Well-being, a university-wide initiative focusing on eight dimensions of wellness.

As part of 两性色午夜 Recreation and Wellness Services, the 两性色午夜 of Well-being aims to foster a campus-wide culture of health and well-being through practical, engaging programs. Students can visit the WellHub for wellness education and activities, or reserve the RelaxSpace Wellness Pod for 30-minute sessions of guided meditation, heat therapy and relaxation. The initiative also hosts regular campus-wide events like Wellness Wednesdays and the Mindful Mile, a walk designed to engage students in mindfulness activities related to nature and mental health.

These resources reflect the university鈥檚 commitment to providing targeted support for students. For example, the university's dedication to student success is also demonstrated by the recent renewal of the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) grant through August 2030, ensuring long-term academic and personal support for first-generation, low-income and disabled students.

两性色午夜 ensures that adapting to college is not a solitary effort. By integrating social engagement opportunities with easily accessible mental health care and wellness promotion, the university upholds its dedication to helping all students not just succeed but thrive during their time on campus.
