News/Research
The activities at the AMLCI are focused on the forefront of the cross disciplinary area, transcending the individual scientific field and streamlining the research from the basic science to development of practical applications. The AMLCI builds on the foundation of the LCI, with the 19th century discovery of the liquid crystal through an international collaboration between a biochemist and a crystallographer in Europe, the advancement of the liquid crystal science and technology has always been driven by an interdisciplinary research effort involving expertise across the boundary of biology, chemistry & materials science, physics, mathematics, and device engineering.
