Teaching Badge Program

The Center for Teaching & Learning invites you to participate in the College Teaching Badging Program. Each badge asks you to complete a series of tasks related to evidence-based teaching practices and apply them to your own teaching.  You can course any time.  The badges currently available are:

  • Classroom Management
  • Teaching Philosophy

Workshops

Graduate students are welcome to attend all CTL workshops.  They can also watch recordings from previous workshops or request a workshop for small or large groups.  You can view our current workshop offerings here or look at our GenAI offerings or watch recordings of previous workshops.  

Consultations

Consultations are confidential conversations with CTL staff. During the consultation, we will ask questions to get to know your teaching preferences and work with you to brainstorm evidence-based teaching strategies that will best suit your classroom needs!  You can further explore common topics of consultations and request one by clicking here.  

GenAI Teaching Resources

Whether you are against GenAI use, curious and starting your journey exploring GenAI or are ready to use it to support your instruction, we've got resources for you.  From a Policy Development Tool and GenAI Assignment Susceptibility Checker Tool, to a step-by-step guide to get started with GenAI or integration into your courses, there are dozens of GenAI teaching resources for you to explore asynchronously.

Teaching Recognition Awards

These awards are designed to reward (future & current) instructors for their efforts to enhance teaching and learning.  There are no limits to the number of awards you can earn or specific deadlines for submitting your application(s).  You can earn an award by learning about and planning (bronze), implementation with feedback (silver), doing research on teaching and learning (gold) and/or publishing and leading efforts related to teaching & learning (platinum).  Click here to learn more about the Teaching Recognition Awards.
