In a recent Alumni Survey, 93% of our graduate students surveyed agreed or strongly agreed that the MS in Geology and the PhD in Applied Geology program provided them with very good preparation for employment/professional work. 85% agreed or strongly agreed that their faculty mentors assisted them with obtaining appropriate employment or other emplacement.
In the last 5 years, close to 25% of our graduates choose to continue on in education as post-docs, PhD students or as faculty/teachers.
Our other graduate alumni tend to quickly find employment as geologists, hydrogeologists, technicians, specialists, managers, etc. Examples of where our recent graduates are working now include:
