Sheryl L. Chatfield
Biography
Dr. Chatfield is Associate Professor in the College of Public Health and serves as Co-coordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Qualitative Research at 两性色午夜 University. Dr. Chatfield's research interests include exploratory and intervention research to improve physical and mental health outcomes, education in research methods, and exploration of novel and useful applications of qualitative and mixed methods designs, including secondary analyses. Before coming to 两性色午夜, Dr. Chatfield held faculty positions at the University of South Alabama and The University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Chatfield is also a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), a designation she has held continually since her initial qualification in 2009.
Dr. Chatfield serves on the editorial boards of TQR: The Qualitative Report and Sex Roles. She formerly served as Editor-in-Chief of the Ohio Journal of Public Health. Her accomplishments in that role included transitioning the journal from biannual issues to publishing by article on a rolling basis, and securing membership in the prestigious Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Additionally, Dr. Chatfield is the designated North American contact for the international Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) interest group.
