The Fieldwork Experience

Purpose

The purpose of the fieldwork experience is to provide occupational therapy students with the opportunity to integrate academic knowledge with application skills at progressively higher levels of performance and responsibility. The unique contributions of fieldwork experience include the opportunity to test first-hand the theories and facts learned in academic study and to refine skills through client interaction under the supervision of qualified personnel.

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University’s combined bachelor’s/master’s degree program allows students to count nine credits of graduate level courses to their undergraduate degrees, providing a faster path to an advanced degree. Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University at Trumbull's Digital Media Production Center, in partnership with Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Trumbull Theatre, Hounding Productions LLC, and Trumbull Satellite (a student-run digital magazine), held its first Student Short Film Festival for local students of all ages.  Over 50 members of the campus and community (students and family members) attended an awards ceremony on Wednesday, Jan. 31.    The three award categories were Media Mania (Students Ages 7 to 12), Film Flair (Students Ages 13 to 17), and Cinema Celebration (Students Ages 18 to 110).
