While 鈥淎dopt a Disability for a Day鈥 wasn鈥檛 featured in this October鈥檚 Disability Awareness Month event lineup, it was offered at the first 鈥淯nderstanding Disability and Physical Difference Month鈥 celebrated on campus in November of 1971. Students, faculty, and staff were 鈥渆ncouraged to adopt a physical disability of blindness or being in a wheelchair鈥 (Challenge Newsletter November 1972). EHHS grad Michael Daniels, Ph.D.,鈥22, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, has been named one of Crain鈥檚 Cleveland Business 40 Under 40 for 2023. Daniels serves as the director of 两性色午夜's E. Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center, where he leads an institution that cultivates a sense of belonging and cultural affirmation for students. FAFSA庐 Simplification Act: On Dec. 27, 2020, Congress passed the Consolidated Appropriations Act.

The law includes provisions that amend the Fostering Undergraduate Talent by Unlocking Resources for Education (FUTURE) Act and includes the FAFSA Simplification Act鈥攁 sweeping redesign of the processes and systems used to award federal student aid. Specifically, the law makes it easier for students and families to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA庐) form and expands access to federal student aid.

BSN students currently studying parent/child nursing helped host a baby shower on the Salem Campus to showcase the new birthing simulator

To welcome its new birthing manikin and the infant it delivers, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing department held a baby shower complete with games, snacks, gifts and decorations. While a traditional baby shower helps celebrate an approaching birth, this shower included a simulated birthing experience involving nursing faculty and students who are in the parent-child module of their coursework. In the end, the campus welcomed a 鈥渂aby boy鈥 to its manikin family, weighing 5 lbs. 10 oz. and named Martin. The baby鈥檚 name was selected through a random drawing of submissions from staff...
