Paris American Academy
At Paris American Academy (PAA) you will get the chance to study in one of the world鈥檚 fashion and design capitals. You will join field trips, workshops, lectures, and activities that are designed to expand your understanding of this exciting and fast-paced industry. In addition, you will complete a full academic course load and fully experience what it means to live in Paris and France.
Following participation in the Flashes 101 Instructor Academy, it is expected that instructors will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of 鈥渟tudent ready鈥 principles that support sense of belonging.
- Utilize teaching strategies which support First-gen, high-need, and underrepresented students.
- Be familiar with University resources available to support student success.
- Understand the challenges and needs of first-year students.
Flashes 101 Instructor Information
Ideally, applicants for Flashes 101 Instructor positions should:
- Have experience teaching or serving first year students.
- Be willing to develop a positive relationship with each student in their assigned section.
- Be willing and available to engage with students over Fall and Spring semesters outside of the classroom.
