All-Around MAC Championship Winner

Junior Rachel Stypinski won the all-around title with a 39.500 to lead Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ at the 2017 Mid-American Conference Gymnastics Championships Saturday at the Stroh Center. Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ posted a 194.850 team score to finish sixth. Stypinski's all-around score ties the program record at the conference championship meet that was set by Marie Case in 2014 and ranks sixth overall. Tornado Awareness Drill

Ohio is conducting a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 22, at 9:50 a.m. Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University will be participating in this test, along with the city of Kent and other communities. Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ tests the tornado and emergency mass notification system on the first Wednesday of every month at 11 a.m. and on the third Wednesday at 4 p.m. These tests last for three minutes. This statewide test will replace the usual 11 a.m. test in March.Peak tornado season in Ohio is generally April through July. Excitement is building as the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University men's basketball team gets ready to take on UCLA tonight in the first round of the NCAA tournament’s South Regional. Last night kicked off with a press conference and open practice at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Players also met with fans as the Golden Flashes continued to prepare for their first NCAA men’s basketball tournament in nine years. Tip off tonight is 9:57 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
