Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University at Geauga faculty and staff playing an integral role in developing an occupational health and safety training program for Geauga County businesses are: Lance Williams, director of operations and special projects at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Geauga, Sanhita Gupta, Ph.D., associate professor of Biological Sciences, Erin Bailey, Ph.D., associate professor of Biological Sciences, and Angela Spalsbury, Ph.D., dean of the Geauga Campus.

KENT STATE GEAUGA PROVIDING OSHA SAFETY TRAINING TO SMALL BUSINESSES IN GEAUGA COUNTY And BEYOND

Thanks to a $75,000 grant from Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Susan Harwood Training Grants Program, Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University at Geauga is designing a pilot training program for workers from small businesses in underserved rural communities to help ensure safe and healthy workplaces. As part of the campus’ ongoing commitment to leadership in regional workforce development, the program will be implemented in Geauga County starting in the second quarter of 2023.

At Á½ÐÔÉ«Îçҹ’s fall commencement on Dec. 17, 2022, Jaiden Morales earned his bachelor's degree in digital media production, an accomplishment motivated by passion that was ignited at Lorain High School. From Trash to Treasure: Cleveland Youth to Design, Fabricate Public Space Installation in Former Landfill Through Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Program

In an effort to expand racial and ethnic diversity in the design fields, Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University’s Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative created Making Our Own Space (MOOS), a design/build program for middle and high school students. The program introduces youth to opportunities in architecture, urban design and landscape architecture.
