Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University is working with area autism-focused organizations as well as KultureCity®, a nonprofit dedicated to providing accessibility and inclusion for those with special needs, to create a sensory-friendly gameday experience that can be enjoyed by all. Fans attending Á½ÐÔÉ«Îçҹ’s Dec. 21 mens basketball game versus Hampton University will feel an expression of the university’s ongoing commitment to its core values of kindness, mutual respect and inclusion.

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Men’s Basketball Wins Season Opener, Freshman Player With Autism Makes History

The Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University men’s basketball team started the 2019-20 season off on a high note with four players scoring in double figures for a 97-58 opening-night victory over the Division III Hiram Terriers at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center on Nov. 6. Freshman Kalin Bennett, the first true freshman diagnosed with autism to sign a letter of intent in Division I men’s basketball, made history when he checked into the contest.
