POV offers the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University community an opportunity to share insights into topics of importance. Sgt. Tricia Knoles, a 20-year veteran of law enforcement and member of the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Police Department, teaches Blue Courage, a program aimed at helping new and veteran police officers.

On Feb. 26, Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University notified the Kent Campus community about an unverified threat at Kent Hall that was deemed to be not credible. Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ is not alone. Schools and institutions across the country have been receiving false threats.

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Police Department Maintains National Law Enforcement Accreditation

The Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University Police Department was recently awarded national accreditation for the ninth time by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. in the Law Enforcement program. The Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Police Department was first accredited in 1991.
