MEDCAMP Provides Transformative Experience For Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Students

Every year, the  (NEOMED) organizes an impactful three-day program known as MEDCAMP, aimed at nurturing young minds interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. This year, thanks to a new scholarship program, a group of 16 Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University students registered to attend the program and 14 attended the camp from July 6-8, free of charge, and got hands-on experience and insights into the world of medicine.

Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, started out as a typical day at the Daily Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹r. Reporters were preparing for their daily assignments. Editors were planning their daily meetings. But, by the time Daily Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹r staff got to the newsroom on Tuesday, they were faced with just one story: a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center.

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ junior Anthony Scilla was on his way across campus Dec. 2, 2022, when his Reporting professor Jacqueline Marino messaged the class saying Student Media needed all the help they could get. A massive fire had broken out at Star of the West Milling Co. building on N. Water Street in Kent, and they needed reporters and photographers to cover it.

Electric scooters have become increasingly popular on the Kent Campus since the introduction of SPIN scooters in March 2022. Approximately 300 eScooters and 150 eBikes are available to rent. With that in mind, the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Community should be aware of the dos and don’ts when operating the scooters.
